Acne

Acne is a common condition that affects many teens. However, many in their 30s and 40s also experience it. We know how frustrating it can be when acne starts affecting your appearance, and even your self esteem. Although a cause for pimples isn’t always clear, we have many proven treatment options to improve your condition and lessen the risk of scarring. Let our specialists help you get relief from persistent acne.

Moles

Moles are very common skin growths that are pink, tan, or brown. Moles change slowly as you age, but the vast majority are not dangerous. If you notice changes in a mole’s color, height, size or shape, call us to have it examined. Keep a watchful eye on moles that are larger than a pencil eraser and irregular in shape.

Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a skin disease that causes scaly red patches on the skin, which may be itchy and sore. The patches can come and go and can last a long time. Our specialists are experienced in psoriasis and can help you choose a treatment program appropriate for you.

Rashes

When you have a rash, your skin is irritated and can be swollen, itchy, red, and painful. Rashes can be caused by many different things. If you have a rash that isn’t going away, contact our office, so we can determine the cause and start you on treatment. Some rashes can be hard to diagnose. Dr. Patel also specializes in skin pathology, so if a biopsy is needed, this enables us to provide the most accurate diagnosis for your skin rash.

Skin Cancer

The word cancer can be scary, but when skin cancer is found early, treatment almost always leads to a complete cure. Basal cell and squamous cell cancers are the most common, often appearing on hands, neck, face, and arms. Melanoma is a more serious type of skin cancer, but it is less common. If you notice changes in moles or see suspicious changes in your skin, come see us.

Warts

Warts are growths on your skin caused by an infection with human papilloma virus. Different types of warts can appear on your fingers, toes or other areas. Our clinicians specialize in many different wart treatments, including cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen treatment).
